Luang Prabang
First stop in Laos was in Luang Prabang, a pretty quiet place to spend a few days, take a trip to the amazing Kuang Si waterfalls, watch the monk celebration at sunrise and finish the day with a sunset over the Mekong river.
Vang Vieng
In between Luang Prabang and the capital Vientiane is the city of Vang Vieng. Used to be the party town where all the tourist are going tubing while drinking down the Mekong river. Now it's a bit more quiet ... We spent a few days hiking to the viewpoints, cycling and mostly swimming.
Thakhek Loop
We took motorbikes over this 4 days loop. It was amazing to see such landscapes and being able to be close to the local population.
4000 islands
Last stop in Laos, we didn't stay longer because we had to move to Thailand. It's a multitude of peaceful islands, perfect to spend some days off and watch beautiful sunsets over the Mekong.
